Woman her husband on…

What was meant to be a joyous beginning to a new life transformed into a tragic narrative of death and deceit in Shillong, India.

On May 20, businessman Raja Raghuvanshi arrived in the picturesque city for his honeymoon with his new spouse, Sonam Raghuvanshi.

A few days later, Raja was discovered deceased in a secluded canyon, his body in a state of decomposition, stripped of any identification and his wedding band.

Initially, law enforcement suspected Raj Kushwaha, Sonam’s purported lover. However, further inquiries revealed a more sinister reality: Sonam orchestrated the murder.

Authorities disclosed that Sonam deceived Raja with false assurances of affection and enlisted three accomplices—Vishal Singh, Anand Kurmi, and Akash Rajput—promising them financial compensation to carry out the killing.

Sonam monitored Raja’s activities and directed the assailants. Raja was likely ambushed and forced into the gorge between May 23 and 24.

Following the murder, Sonam returned to Indore, intending to eliminate Raja once more as she was clandestinely involved with another man.

Phone records led to Sonam’s apprehension on June 8, where she admitted her guilt. This disturbing case has sent shockwaves through India, unveiling a horrifying saga of love, avarice, and merciless betrayal hidden beneath the sacred promise of marriage.
