Céline Dion’s husband may be gone, but he’s not forgotten. She continues to honor him on his birthday and the anniversary of his death. One recent tribute included a photo of their three sons, prompting netizens to question the twins’ ages.
In honor of the ninth anniversary of her husband René Angélil’s death on January 14, Céline Dion shared a heartfelt tribute on social media. The post, featuring a rare photo of their three sons, quickly attracted attention and comments from fans.
One person wrote, “They look so much like their father and you it’s a good mix!💕he’s always with you spiritually 💕💕💕. (sic)” Another fan added, “He really does live in his sons. Each of them look a little like their father, so handsome, and so lovely to see them all!God bless you Celine and your boys. ❤️🤍(sic)”
Confused by the boys’ appearance, someone asked, “Why do all three boys look 20 years older than their actual age?” Echoing this sentiment, another commenter stated, “Insane that the ages are correct but all three look double their ages.”
Many focused on the twins in particular, with one person exclaiming, “The twins??!! All grown up, WOW!!” Noting their age, 14, a netizen remarked, “The twins look older than just 14,” while another questioned, “14 year old twins?? They look more like they’re in their twenties.”

Reflecting similar thoughts, someone wrote, “Those twins can not (sic) be just 14 with mustaches that thick.” Another user argued, “No way they are 14 and 23?! They look so much older,” while someone else asked, “How do 14 year olds have beards like 25 year olds? (sic)”

Behind them, red vases with small trees adorned with red ribbons added a festive touch. In her caption, the singer wrote, “René, we can’t believe you’ve been gone nine years already. Not a day goes by that we don’t feel your presence, RC, Eddy, Nelson, and I.”

She continued, “You were my greatest champion, my partner, and the one who always saw the best in me. I honor you and you are forever missed mon amour…We love you.- Celine xx… (sic)” This wasn’t the only recent tribute Céline made to her late husband.
A few days after marking the anniversary of his passing, she shared a black-and-white photo of René, writing, “Today is your birthday, but the date doesn’t matter because there isn’t a day that we aren’t celebrating life with you.”
The singer expressed that her husband remained a part of their daily lives through cherished memories. By revisiting photos and videos keeping his memory alive, they could hear his voice and remember the gestures of the man whose spirit they adore.
Céline concluded, “We celebrate you always. Happy Birthday René, Notre Amour.-Céline, RC, Nelson, and Eddy xx…” The star’s husband passed away on the morning of January 14, 2016, at their Las Vegas home, on the eve of his 74th birthday, after a long battle with cancer.
René, the son of the late Alice and Joseph Angélil, is survived by his third wife, their three children, his firstborn son Patrick from his first marriage, his children Anne-Marie and Jean-Pierre from his second marriage, his brother André, and his cousins.

Since her husband’s passing, Céline has faced health challenges. In December 2022, she opened up in an Instagram video, saying, “I’ve been dealing with problems with my health for a long time.”
She revealed that she was diagnosed with a rare neurological disorder called Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS), which causes muscle spasms. Céline described the condition’s impact on her singing as feeling “like a little spasm.”
This autoimmune disease is debilitating and has no known cure. The spasms can become so severe that she can barely move. Although the condition is lifelong, the singer is undergoing therapy to reduce the spasms, which will help her sing again.
In 2023, a source shared that Céline Dion‘s sons have been her greatest source of joy during her recovery. The insider said that her main focus remains on her three boys and performing.

The source added, “She is the most selfless and considerate person. Céline just loves her boys so much. They are amazing. They give her all the support and love that she needs.”
In a snippet from her “I Am: Céline Dion” documentary, the singer shared why she continues to fight her diagnosis. The singer said, “I could barely walk at one point, and I was missing very much living. My kids started to notice. I was like, ‘OK, they already lost a parent. I don’t want them to be scared.'”
The 56-year-old revealed how she explained her diagnosis to her children, promising them that, unlike their father’s illness, hers was different. She reassured them that she isn’t going to die from it, saying, “It’s something that I’m going to learn to live with.”
